Masko for Muse
Bring a little character to your product. Masko helps you create mascots, animate your own artwork, and use the finished assets in your app or website. This guide covers the workflows and connection requirements for integrating Masko with Muse.
Workflows
- Create a mascot from an idea, or use a character you already have.
- Generate consistent poses and animate an uploaded character.
- Build a canvas with idle loops, reactions, and transitions.
- Retrieve completed assets and get HTML, React, Swift/SwiftUI, or Android integration guidance.
- Find existing projects and mascots, check credits, and follow generation jobs.
Example prompts:
- "Create a friendly mascot for my fitness app."
- "Animate my uploaded mascot waving hello with a transparent background."
- "Make my mascot celebrate when someone completes a lesson, then return to idle."
- "Show me how to integrate my animations into React without flickering between clips."
- "Show my mascots and credit balance. Do not generate anything."
Account access and credits
Masko connections use your account and a personal or team workspace. Access is scoped to that workspace and its permissions. Personal and team credit balances are separate.
Image and animation generation require sufficient Masko credits. Review the cost before requesting generation. Credits are currently purchased on Masko's billing page through Stripe. Buying credits directly inside Muse is not implemented or verified. The MCP tools can create a hosted Stripe checkout link and check payment and credit delivery status. See credits and costs.
Generation runs asynchronously. Check the existing job until it completes instead of starting another paid generation when an output is still pending.
Assets and integration
New mascots created through the MCP tools start private. Public hosting requires an explicit request. Private preview links expire; production integrations need public hosting or an authorized backend that refreshes private delivery.
Use a simple player for a looping animation. For switching clips, keep two players mounted: show the current frame while the next player loads and decodes its first frame, then switch the visible player. Keep the current picture if loading fails. Read smooth mascot playback and hosting and file formats.
Interactive mascots also need a controller that maps app events to canvas inputs. See building a canvas. The connector is intended to provide assets and implementation guidance; it will not deploy your app or activate the Masko desktop app.
Technical details for integration review
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Hosted MCP endpoint | https://masko.ai/api/mcp |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP |
| Authentication protocol | OAuth with PKCE |
| Authorization scopes | masko:read, masko:write |
| Muse connection status | Pending client configuration and testing |
The existing server exposes tools for projects, mascots, uploads, generation jobs, assets, canvases, and integration guidance. Its OAuth client restrictions must be extended for Muse before a Muse account connection can succeed. A Masko REST API key is not a substitute for the MCP OAuth connection.
For the existing integration, see Masko in ChatGPT. Muse's connector program is available at muse.ai/platform.
