THE LITTLE DETAILS

A few questions.

we were hoping you’d ask.

What is a desktop mascot?

A character that lives on your screen, plays animations, and connects to useful moments such as reminders and agent requests. Masko for Mac is our working example of that experience.

Can I create a mascot from a picture?

Yes. Give Ask Masko a picture or describe an idea. Choose the character’s face, then approve its first animation before it joins your desktop.

Do I have to create my own?

No. Start free with Ko, choose a ready-made mascot, or bring one from your Masko account.

Can I add custom reactions?

Yes. Tell Ask Masko what you want your mascot to do. It can create poses and animations, add behaviors, and connect them to supported moments on your Mac.

Does it work with coding agents?

Yes. It can show agent activity and bring requests to you. Supported Claude Code prompts can be answered through Masko; Codex and Cursor keep answers in their own interface.

What is free, and what uses Masks?

The Mac app is free and includes 25 Ask Masko messages to get started. Plans unlock unlimited assistant messages. Generating poses and animations uses Masks, with the cost shown before you start.

What Mac do I need?

A Mac running macOS 14.0 or newer.

Can I build my own product with these characters?

Yes. Use Masko to create and animate characters, export the assets or use hosted URLs, and design responses in the visual graph. Your product’s code connects its events and actions. Marketplace listings specify their available licenses.
