THE LITTLE DETAILS

A few questions.

How do I convert an animated WebP to GIF?

Drop the WebP here. Every frame is read in your browser and written into a looping GIF, at up to 25 frames a second.

Does it keep transparency?

Yes, as far as GIF allows: a pixel is either clear or solid. Pick a matte colour to blend soft edges with the background the GIF goes on.

Can I turn a WebM or APNG into a GIF too?

Yes. WebM, APNG, MP4 and MOV work the same way, and a transparent WebM keeps its transparency.

Why is my GIF bigger than the WebP?

GIF is an old format with 256 colours and simple compression. Pick a smaller width or a size limit to make it lighter.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser.
