GIVE THE CHARACTER A REASON TO BE THERE

Three moments for a little personality.

Ideas for your fitness app. Connect each reaction to the moment it belongs to.

01

A workout finished

Play a short celebration after the workout is saved. Keep the duration, distance, and next action visible.

02

A smaller goal reached

A nod or wave can acknowledge the first five minutes without turning every achievement into a full-screen event.

03

A return after a break

Welcome the person back with a relaxed greeting. Avoid a disappointed expression or copy that makes rest feel like failure.

SMALL CHARACTER. THOUGHTFUL DETAILS.

Make it feel at home.

Keep the character welcoming at small sizes, with open posture and an easy-to-read expression. A beginner fitness app needs encouragement that works after a short walk as well as a personal best.

AN ANIMATION PROMPT TO TRY

The mascot does one small celebratory hop, raises its paws in encouragement, and settles back into its starting pose. Keep the camera fixed and the full character visible.

Use this with your character in Studio. Review the result before adding it to your app.

FROM IDEA TO APP

Create it. Animate it. Put it to work.

01

Give it a personality

Adapt the brief below to your app, or upload your existing mascot in Studio.

02

Make a first reaction

Start with one useful animation, such as a workout finished. Check the character’s movement against your actual interface.

03

Connect it to your app

Export the assets and use your app’s events to control playback. Keep a still option for reduced motion.

YOUR APP. YOUR LITTLE CHARACTER.

Start with a brief.Make it your own.

This is the starting idea behind Rudy. Edit it for your product, then take it into Masko Studio.

Make it yours: add your audience, personality, and visual style.

Already have a character? Upload it in Studio →

THE LITTLE DETAILS

A few questions.

we were hoping you’d ask.

Where should a mascot appear in a fitness app?

Start on the workout completion screen, where movement will not interrupt an exercise. Keep the mascot away from live timers and exercise instructions. Add other reactions only when they serve a specific moment.

Can I animate a mascot I already have?

Yes. Upload your own character in Masko Studio, then create animations from it. You can also start with a description to create a new mascot for your app.

How do I put the mascot into my app?

Create the character and animations in Masko, then export the assets for your app or website. Your app controls when each animation plays. Developers can also use the Masko API to create and manage assets.
