AI agent notifications

Know when an AI agent needs you.

Let the agent run in the background. Your mascot changes when work is ready, blocked, interrupted, or asking for attention.

One visible companion across seven supported agents.

Attention without surveillance

Stop watching the terminal.

Masko listens to supported local agent events and turns them into a visible state, a notification, and a route back to the source.

  1. 01
    Waiting

See when an agent is paused for an answer or approval.

  2. 02
    Done

Return when a task finishes instead of checking repeatedly.

  3. 03
    Error or interruption

Notice when the work stopped for a reason other than completion.

How it works

Three parts of a useful notification.

A message alone is not enough. You need context and a way back.

  1. 01Source

The notification names the agent that produced the event.

  2. 02Meaning

The mascot and copy distinguish waiting, done, and failure.

  3. 03Return

Open or focus the related agent surface when action is required.

In practice

Built for coding-agent attention.

The feature is useful because it follows real agent lifecycle events, not a generic timer.

Session-aware

Events remain connected to the session that generated them where the agent exposes identity.

Mascot reaction

The character can visibly work, wait, ask, celebrate, or show an error.

Native notifications

Use familiar macOS attention alongside the persistent character state.

AI agents

Your mascot keeps watch over your AI agents.

  1. 01Know when an agent needs you.

See when Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Cursor, Grok Build, Kimi Code, or Hermes is working, waiting, or done.

  2. 02Keep the work moving.

Approve a supported command or answer a question through your mascot.

  3. 03Jump to the right session.

Return to the exact terminal or app without hunting through tabs.

〉_ Bash

Run a build?$npm run build

Builds the app. Nothing else changes.

Questions

The practical bits.

Will I receive a notification for every tool call?

Masko focuses user-facing attention on meaningful lifecycle and interaction moments instead of treating every internal event as urgent.

Does this work when the terminal is behind other windows?

Yes. The mascot and macOS notification surface remain visible outside the terminal.
